“The Betrayer” by Jan Willem van der Hoeven

Here’s what Jan Willem van der Hoeven wrote last night to president Trump:

*THE BETRAYER*

Yes, you have first of all betrayed your personal Lord, Master, and soon-coming King of Israel, who will be the Prince of Peace, King of kings, and Lord of all the earth from Jerusalem. You cannot call Him your Lord and then seek to take His place.

Secondly, you have betrayed many faithful and loyal Christian supporters of the Lord and His people Israel who voted for you. They believed that you shared their deeply held convictions concerning God's holy biblical purpose and destiny for Israel, His people, to whom He repeatedly promised the entire Land of Israel as an ETERNAL POSSESSION. Some of your most vocal and important supporters, including key members of your cabinet such as Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, and John Ratcliffe, believed that you would stand firmly with Israel.

Thirdly, you have betrayed the suffering people of Iran. After decades of oppression, torture, and the deaths of tens of thousands under a cruel and tyrannical regime, many looked to you and trusted your promises. They hoped that one day they could safely return to the streets of Iran and help establish a government that would be both pro-American and pro-Israel. They believed you would stand with them in their struggle against those who have oppressed them. You betrayed them.

Fourthly, you have betrayed Israel, and you have betrayed your good and loyal friend, Benjamin Netanyahu. It appears that considerations such as money, popularity, concerns about oil and gas prices, and the counsel of people who neither love Israel nor understand the convictions of many Christian believers have become more important than the interests of Israel and America.

This undermines Israel's fundamental right to self-defence, a right that Israel has exercised with a degree of restraint rarely seen in the history of warfare. During the Second World War, Allied forces bombed entire cities, causing immense civilian casualties, often without warning. Cities such as Dresden and Darmstadt were devastated. America ultimately dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to bring the war with Japan to an end.

Do you really want Israel to conclude that the only way to defeat the present mullah regime in Iran is to follow such examples and employ overwhelming force to achieve victory?

Fifthly, and I say this out of genuine love for you as President and for the American people, I pray that you will remember the lessons of history. America helped save Europe from Nazi tyranny. Peace came to Europe not through negotiations with Hitler, but through victory over him. The regime change that followed brought decades of freedom, stability, and blessing to much of Europe, where I was born and raised.

Therefore, I earnestly pray for you, Mr. President, that you will not set yourself against God's eternal Word, against the Apple of His eye—Israel—and thereby forfeit the great future that God may yet have in store for you and your nation.

As Scripture warns:

"The nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; those nations shall be utterly laid waste." (Isaiah 60:12)

May God grant you wisdom, courage, and the discernment to stand on the right side of His purposes.

McKinney, Texas (north of Dallas)

Our Christian Friends of Israel Jerusalem team left the ranch, in SW Texas just a half hour north of Mexico and the Rio Grande River, Thursday morning for a meeting and night’s stay in Houston.

I already miss the ranch, having walked the trails; seeing the cattle and sheep in the fields; actually staring at the numerous stars at night because there are no city lights to shine more than they from our viewpoint.

Even the quietness enveloping the early dawn hours, with my morning walks as the barn sparrows and doves fly low, is a joy that brings peace to the heart and soul.

We have another week on this month-long ministry trip in Texas. I look forward to being home with Laurie and family, and our church friends.

But I now understand even more how the Lord blesses us with His beautiful creation - in people, places, and beyond.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6, NASB

All times are good times to seek the Lord. Enjoy His presence as you do.

Ahava and shalom,

Steve Martin

P.S. With two months before my next Israel trip I will have time at home to work on another book. Yeah, Lord!

Beyond my imagination. Walk with me, Steve Martin, on an 18,000 acre ranch in SW Texas.

Let the Fathers Be Fathers

Fathers are leaders, lovers, faithful men, protectors, and providers. Let THAT be what we are known for. With the help of God our Father.

We bless all men who are fathers, by the grace of God.

“Does Anyone Support Israel Anymore?” Message by Steve Martin

Steve Martin leads worship at friends of Israel gathering in Pecos, Texas (06.12.26)

Does Anyone Still Support Israel?

If you listen to the worldwide news today, on any media platform, you just might think Israel is the “bad guy” (again, as seemingly always the scape goat) and there is no one left who supports Israel and the Jews.

Whether you read websites, listen to YouTube and podcasts, or go to a church where anything and everything is “preached” except the eternal truth that the Creator chose His Chosen People…you  would think that Israel doesn’t exist; it has no relevance in people’s lives; or the Lord is “done with Israel and the Jews” because “they are the ones who killed Jesus.”

The once very popular conferences, where Christians and Messianics gathered in large numbers to rally around Israel and our Jewish friends are either no longer happening or are sparse in numbers.

Why so?

Even as the Lord trimmed Gideon’s army down to 300; even as the multitudes gathered around Yeshua in His earthly days and then dropped in number to 12 (and even they denied or hid…after the crucifixion); and even as the numbers of support continue to rapidly fall in our day…the Lord still sits on the throne and says, “These are My chosen people. They are mine and I will keep them.”

“From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.Romans 11:28,29 NASB

This verse is often used for other purposes but it is talking primarily about the Jews.

As we travel in and around Texas, Christian Friends of Israel Jerusalem are finding a strong remnant of believers supporting Israel.

I count myself among them.

“The Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.” 1 Samuel 12:22

Ahava and Shalom,

Steve Martin
